Research and Development
TrichoTech is committed to research and development in both the technology
and services we provide. Our team of leading toxicologists continually
study the data from the tests we perform for our clients, identifying
drug misuse patterns and developing more sophisticated techniques for
use in hair analysis.
Aside from service and technological advancements, TrichoTech scientists
are involved in on-going research and development into both the sensitivity
of drugs to detection, and the range of drugs that is possible to detect.
We are currently the market leader for Hair Testing and are accredited
to ISO/IEC 17025 standards to test for drugs of abuse in hair, urine and
oral fluid. We are also accredited to screen for the widest variety of
drugs in hair - currently 14 drugs and 40 analytes
In recent years we have forged close links with the University
of Glamorgan which has an excellent biotechnology department. We perform
research in conjunction with Forensic Science students, and have been
able to provide support for their study as well as sponsoring the Best
Forensic Science Student Award.
